Management Profiles

Mr George Parthimos, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

George has 20 years ICT experience, predominately in the Internet, Infrastructure and Portfolio Management areas. He spent over 10 years working for Telstra Corporation, Australia’s largest telecommunications company, where he specialized in Internet and emerging Multi Media products and services. Key projects included the deployment of Telstra’s Broadband Internet product in 1997, and the development of an eCommerce online payment system in 1998. In 2000, George took on the role of Broadband Infrastructure Program Manager, where he coordinated an aggregated portfolio of Internet infrastructure renewal projects, worth over $80M annually.

George has held management positions in the Telecommunications, Technology, Banking and Finance, and Government sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Computing), a Graduate Certificate of Management, and is a certified PRINCE2 project management practitioner. George was recognised by Bulletin Magazine as a member of their 2007 “Smart 100” list, which highlights the 100 brightest individuals in Australia.

Mr Robert Demian – Head of Global Sales

Robert nears 15 years of experience in the sales and business development arena. His responsibilities have focused on business development, sales, sales management and leading the sales operations for numerous organisations. His diverse background includes telecommunication providers, residential property developers, advertising and marketing agencies in which he was responsible at state and national levels.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Media, Diploma in Marketing and Certification in Sales Management and his achievements at various organisations have seen him garnished with various awards and accolades.

His strong business development experience found him to be pivotal in the creation of multi-million dollar projects and revenue for Oliver Hume, Australia’s largest project marketer for residential property and their partners. Robert’s core competencies included the sales, sales management, business development, training and marketing of these multi-million dollar projects.

Robert has been instrumental in growing the business by establishing strategic alliances with major multi-nationals including telecommunication providers, car makers, car audio manufactures and consumer electronic manufacturers from all corners of the globe.

Paul Ramsden – Head of Marketing

Paul is an experienced Market Strategist and former senior Broadcasting Executive. Having spent 20 years in managing Radio Stations throughout Australia and New Zealand, Paul's specialty has been developing new markets, resurrecting existing poor performing entities and growing established organisations.

After an award winning career in Radio, Paul moved to KPMG to develop the Australian Strategic Marketing Practice based in Melboure Australia. Paul has been involved in some of Australia's biggest major projects and organisations, leading and developing market strategies and creating environments to introduce new markets.

Having been with miRoamer for over 2 years he has guided the companys' positioning, branding and strategic focus to ensure that miRoamer is a global leader in its field.

Mark Newstead – Research Manager

Mark Newstead is an experienced market research professional, who has specialised in the broadcast media industry. After working with channel Nine Melbourne, he was the first marketing manager of the Radio Marketing Bureau, substantially directing strategy to improving the market share for radio advertising. He joined the supplier side, becoming a Director of the Australian Radio and TV official ratings contractor; but the lure of the medium lead to an invitation to become a founding sales and marketing director at Fox FM Melbourne and later in Australian FM radio, subsequently with 3.5 years overseas developing commercial opportunities in London, Hong Kong, Sweden and French Radio.

Following a corporate career in the media industry, he parleyed those skills into a specialist broadcast research consultancy since 1992. With digital media so important, Mark has been instrumental in establishing a enhanced data base and research disciplines to exploit the opportunities inherent in the digital media space and to ensure Miroamer achieves first class global status.
